Yes, I tend to very much!
Went to a seafood one last night, and boy, did i feel better when I walked in, than when I walked out.
I cannot help myself, but was proud that I only went to the dessert bar once.
Instead went and attacked the cheese sections as had to have something to eat with my coffee.....i am a little piggy!!!
No. I can't force my stomach to accept more than it is capable of holding. I just have small amounts of everything I would like to try. With the desserts I could choose one, or maybe share if I want to try two things. I don't like to over eat as I would feel I'll afterwards and it would spoil the whole experience.
I used to pig out when much younger and it didn't matter back then. however now I try to be sensible with the amounts, I choose things to eat I don't make or get at home and that way can indulge in the best dishes on the buffet.
I was only going to a Christmas buffet with 2 friends at the Sydney (AU) casino. I'd try everything, then the following year I'd just have a little taste of the food that I don't cook at home, that I'd enjoyed the most the previous year. With the desserts, 1 of my friends & I would share each of the tiny desserts. The other friend wasn't a dessert eater, & would just have a couple of pieces of fruit. Now as I've aged, I don't seem to be able to eat as much as I used to be able to eat, at the buffet.
I wouldn't say pig out as it's more eat more than I should. As a seafood lover I eat oysters natural and prawns, followed by prawn salad and small serving of seafood salad. If I've room left it would be prawn cutlets and mini spring rolls. I don't make the sweet buffet often but if I've not eaten too much seafood I would have sticky date pudding with my coffee.
