I do not have a partner at the moment (nor likely to have anymore!), however my first husband and I worked together in our own business for 26 years, even after we divorced, so I had no need to phone him.
I think it is nice when a partner phones the other either when they are at work or at home, however it is not something that happened often for me.
It did happen in my last relationship as my partner was a FIFO worker and they got calls to home when overseas, however not daily.
Probably yes! It's not intentional but there's usually something pops up that needs an answer quickly or I have a message to pass on from someone else....
And if my husband will be working late or is on a business trip abroad then he will always Skype just before my son's bedtime for a chat with him.
I always ring my husband just to see how his day is going or else he will ring me. We both work and it's nice to have a 5 mins catch in the middle of the day. I also call in the evenings to let him know when I think I will be home from work because I often have to work late
No never, because we both retired years ago. When we did both work, I never rang him at his work, & he never rang me at my work nor when I was home, mainly I suppose, because mobile phones hadnít been invented back then!
My husband works nights. I text him before I go to sleep, just to say goodnight and I love you. If he has time, he will call me back. He usually does. He doesn't work every night of course, but on the nights he does, that text lets him know he is in my thoughts.
