No I do not often drink herbal tea.
I have about 8 different types of teas in my pantry (in a gorgeous wooden tea box) including I think two or 3 herbal ones but I do not really like most of them.
Currently bought Chamomile tea due to stomach problems but really prefer ordinary tea to any of those flavoured herbal ones.
This includes green tea which I used to drink a lot but find it has a strange taste - I would rather real coffee any time, however have an ordinary tea every morning while I sit and type this!!
More tha actual HERBAL teas,I like to drink various normal tea blends and some of the gorgeous fruit infusions which are just delicious as an iced tea style of drink when served chilled on a hot day!!! I love many tea blends and have even made my own with a high quality black tea and other ingredients such as lavender, rose petals, orange peel, dried berries etc!! NOT all together of course!!!! I absolutely HATE chamomile tea unless I have made it with my own freshly picked chamomile which has a delightful Apple-like fragrance and flavour! I have never had a bought one which I have actually liked!! I also have used Lemon grass,Lemon Balm, fresh ginger (again all from my garden),various citrus rinds, and just about anything else which takes my fancy! I do always check though as some home grown herbs can actually be toxic as a tea!! I don't enjoy any of the mint varieties as tea unless I add a touch of honey. Oh,and if you like aniseed and licorice,a good tarragon leaf will make a gorgeous tea!!!
Hardly ever. Certainly not the dried up store bought kind. I use my own mint to make fresh mint tea. I keep chopped ginger in the freezer for having lemon and ginger tea also. However, I prefer my plain black tea with a spot of milk.
I sometimes drink camomile or Turkish apple tea at night. During the say I prefer black or green tea for the flavour and the caffiene. Sometimes I blend herbal teas in with those, like I might make iced tea by adding berry tea into some green tea.
Oh! fran........IMHO, one of the most enjoyable, & simplest pleasures, is a fresh brew, with Vegemite sandwiches, made with fresh, fresh bread, no crusts, & cut into little triangles! Love it!
My own personal 'High Tea', & I usually have a slice of cake or biscuit, on hand as well! Lol!
Vegemite sandwiches fine, a vanilla slice is fine but my very favourite is a slice of really dar, very dense with a good shot of brandy in it - fruit cake. I can't eat fruit cake with coffee but I love a good brew and a thick slice.
