Yes I live by lists, I have a lot going on with a part time business and quite a busy social life. Is good advice I will pass on to my granddaughter...along with more 'life advice' (can hear her sighing now and lifting her eyes to the ceiling!!)
Yes, I really do! When I'm at uni or out in town, if I have something to remember the next day, I make sure I make note of it somewhere, somehow. My memory is beyond shocking, so you will always find me with either my phone or a notepad and pen.
When doing our main grocery shop we write a list. I rarely look at it until I get halfway through, however, just to check I haven't forgotten everything. The regular buys don't particularly need to be written, but the things that last a while, that you only need to replace every now and then need to be written down.
If it is not our main shop, it means that we have run out of something in particular and we are going for a specific reason, so we don't write a list for that.
I like to have a basic plan for my day as it stops me from getting side-tracked with other less-necessary things, but try not to be too rigid about following as that takes the spontanuity out of life. It helps me remember to do and buy things that may otherwise slip my mind.
yes, hardly ever even needed a diary as I could remember it all but not any more. Need to write lists for shopping, keep a diary and write to do lists all the time. Much more needs to be squished into my brain these days so lists are survival.
Yes. My thick feint-ruled shopping notebook is my 'bible'! Without it, I'm totally lost, & can only remember a few groceries' to buy, or things 'to do'!
Have always written shopping down & stuck to list! Hard work, but do-able!
I'm always writing lists! Not only for shopping, but for: Lunch places with friends, lists of the cruises we've done, where I've worn my 19 dresses too, the meals I've cooked from on-line, the countries I've visited. (if only for 1 day!!), present ideas for our 2 little grand-daughters, the colours I use for each Christmas since 1980-2025, my Christmas card list, Christmas card making ideas, & the lists go on...& on...& on! More should go on lists in my Draft' folder, then I can throw away all those bits of paper, i've been writing into notebooks!
