I have many 'retro' clothes which I have simply NEVER been able to part with over the years! My jackets are the main items which I would get any wear out of these days though! A few of the very blouses which are made with exquisite fabrics are also among my favourite items.
I love retro clothes and used to wear them a lot as a teenager. Not so much now though. It's not deliberate and it wasn't really a fashion statement, just practical - I bought all my clothes from jumble sales, charity shops and house clearance shops, so they were automatically retro :)
I'm not bothered at all about fashion, or keeping up with what anyone else is wearing, it doesn't interest me at all. I prefer to wear clothes I like and can afford and I also think it is extremely wasteful to be buying brand new clothes all the time when there are perfectly good ones already made waiting to be worn.
I don’t wear them, I just wear the same cloths, year in year out, until I discovered dresses! Now I have 17 of them! Our youngest daughter lives for retro & vintage cloths, furniture, kitchen items!
She’s nearly 39 years old & very slim.
