You can’t escape them. They’re all around us. Neighbours. Do you get on with yours or do they give you grief? Our neighbours let their kids carry on in the backyard until all hours of the night – even on weeknights.

Firstly, some of us don't even know our neighbours. Lucky for me I made sure I knew who was who in the zoo...and pretty lucky do have a good bunch around us.
So you took the initiative to get to know them when you moved in? Did any of your neighbours bother making an effort? I said hi to one of mine, but she walked straight on by as if I hadn't said a thing. :|

There were a few that said a 'hello' as we moved. But not everyone is cheery and chirpy. And while I know who is in the zoo it does not go without saying that most keep to themselves. Just who they are I guess!

My neighbours are decent enough.
They are o.k....

I'm a private person most of the time, and I have had a falling out with one lady across the street.
She was really nice, till she crossed the sticky nose thing.
There is always 'one' no matter where you go.
They seem like OK people but I would like to get to know them better. We should have a block party one of these days.

Our neighbours are pretty good. Both sides have kids about the same age as my daughter. We've been invited over for drinks a few times, but it always coincides with bed times. I feel really anti-social since our neighbours have made an effort to get to know us, and we just haven't been able to get together yet!
I know what you mean! Don't feel too bad. Just explain it to them, I'm sure they'll understand.

yeah, they are totally great people. I can always call on them when in times of need. great people my neighbors they are!
One side, yes and the other ones, behind me on the same block, no.

I have rarely spoken to them -they are unfriendly and only come knocking when they want to complain about something I did.

Yet the other side, brings in my rubbish bin, puts it out when I forget, and is generally helpful and friendly.

We used to have great neighbours but the new ones keep much to themselves so we don't really know them. Bit sad, really.
Yes, we make a conscious effort to be friendly.
Sadly there have been occasions when a neighbour does not reciprocate that mentality.
Noise is one of the main problems with neighbours, dogs that continually bark or wayward children.
Consider others always when living with neighbours - you will enjoy the benefits from better relationships!
