I dunno!
Haven't tried 'him'!

Ooooh, you mean the herb! Silly me!
Not don't like it, as too strong.

The only herbs' I use are Parsley, Rosemary & Mint.

Basil is one of the few foods I really do not like. I just do not like the taste of it and there is only a handful if that, of food and tastes that I do not like.

I rarely will use it in cooking though sometimes use the dried one as this does not have that same intense flavour as the fresh basil.

Furthermore worms keep eating it when I DO try to grow it!

Thanks for the warning, Finy. I'll now look out for the grubs on the pot of basil I bought at Aldi's yesterday afternoon, on NYE '16!

Although I grow several types of basil, the only one I use often ismy very precious Lemon Basil which I keep all of the seeds from,so that I may have a continual supply! The others tend to be very overpowering in most dishes apart from those with lots of tomato in them.I will use just a very few small leaves of basic tree basil which is a perrenial, when cooking such meals! Lemon Basil is very good when grilling a lovely piece of fresh fish, and I would be lost without this variety!
I really do like it with pasta, tomatoes and a little oil and salt and pepper. :)
As long as it is not too overpowering. If the plant touches me I get a rash but I can eat it without effect. Odd.

Only in Italian food.
I love basil and throw it on Italian and Thai food as well as salads
I do love the taste of basil. I use it on a regular basis with my cooking, especially with Italian dishes and oven roasts.
I use basil in my home made pasta sauce. I haven't tried it in any other recipe. We do enjoy basil.
Yes, I love basil, & will put it into any dish that requires it. If I see a recipe I'm about to cook mentions basil, & I don't have any, I won't cook the recipe until I remember to buy some!

I don't mind basil but only sparingly as it's pretty srtong! but I do use it as a room deodoriser because I just love the smell of it.
I love basil and will put it and other herbs on and into just about anything I prepare. Greek Basil is one of my favourite smells. It reminds me of Summer. For those who find Basil too strong- Greek Basil , the one in the photo, is milder than some of the other types.
I usually have a prolific herb garden but my chooks have decimated it recently. They spared a few plants including Basil. So my chooks don't like the taste of Basil.good to know, when I landscape their pen I will plant some in there and know it will be safe.
I love fresh basil. I love the smell of it and the taste. It goes well with tomato salad and a bit gives a lift to pasta dishes. I particularly like lemon basil but haven't found any seeds for it in the shops this year. I will have to make a proper search for seeds.
I make sauce for fish or pasta by adding fresh leaves to a pot of cream and bringing it up to near boiling. I discard the leaves before pouring. It adds a subtle flavour.
I like it with a tomato salad and use it in Italian dishes.
Very much. I grow a lot of it, and use it to make my own pesto and throw it in things like pasta sauces.
NO

P.S: (Some time much later than my previous reply!) I actually bought a pot of it, from Aldi, when we were doing the food shopping, yesterday afternoon. I hadn't bought any for a very long time.

3/4 weeks later: I over watered it, & it died! Now back to Aldi, for a new 1. I'll try & only water it, once a week, I water my other herbs nearly every day.
