Yes, I really like spag. bolognese however I stopped eating meat most of the time about 15 years ago so I no longer have it.
I have, however, made it with vegetarian mince or TVP plus Quorn both of which are not quite as nice as meat but also very good!
I possibly depends a lot on the sauce you make or buy.
I don't mind a pasta with a good ragout but I am (these days) totally sick of every sauce being tomato based. Also don't like minced meat. There is no such thing as spaghetti bolognese anyway so……..I guess my answer is no.
Good made with good mince though, yum, spaghetti is SO difficult to eat so I prefer it with smaller pasta pieces.... and I have a favourite place that I eat the bolognese over home made gnocchi! Now that is delicious and easy to eat!
Brigi, Why is spaghetti very hard to eat? I love it better than other pasta! I could eat it every night of the week! You just stick the fork into a pile of it, & twill it around. It's also lovely just with butter, parmesan or any grated cheese & chopped parsley!
Yes, I do enjoy this very much, and actually I had it for my dinner tonight! I think one secret to a great spaghettei bolognese has to be QUALITY ingredients in the sauce, whether it is made with meat or with vegetables! And never overcook the spaghetti!!!
Spaghetti bolognaise is a regular dish in our household. My children love slurping the spaghetti and will eat a decent amount so they have full bellies before bed. Full bellies = full nights sleep so I love spaghetti bolognaise
