Do you like roses?

Have you ever grown them yourself, and were they the old fashioned type that have a delightful scent?

I quite like roses, and have had them in the past but could not have them when I was in the country as the birds would eat them, along with almost anything else.

We built a huge, covered orchard, however it was for vegetables, trees etc but not for roses!

I had beautiful roses until I moved to the country and they were the old fashioned type with the lovely scent!

Roses are one of the great pleasures to behold in life...have grown a few but no expert, have one in a pot which I am nurturing..keep expecting it to turn up its toes but it is faring quite well, have just pruned it and fertilised and can't wait for the spring flowers it will hopefully reward me with..oh..and I talk to it every day (get a life Yello!)

Love them and have them growing in the yard. They are over thirty years old. My husband's grandmother grew them when she came to Australia and her husband brought them over from their old house when he moved.

I have five rose bushes at the moment. All with lovely scent. Red, pink and yellow.
They look like twigs at the moment because I just pruned them last week, so can't wait for spring time to enjoy them again.

Love roses and have tried to grow them many times but possums are a big problem here and the minute new shoots or buds appear they are eaten by the little pests!
I SO LOVE Roses.

I do have a Topuri Rose tree...It doesn't have any sent, but that is a smell I really remember even now, from my growing up in England, as a child.
You never forget that smell I think.
I like roses but I have never grown them

We have some miniature pink and apricot roses - they just keep flowering and we love them.

I really don't care for roses. I grew up having them in my yard as a young boy. My mom didn't like us playing soccer in the yard as we caused a lot of damage to her garden, while those rose bushes caused a lot of damage to our fingers and soccer balls. Besides that, I have seen other types of flowers that are way more beautiful and awesome than roses.
Yes, and yes
I love roses and have grown them. I planted a white iceberg rose and also a red and a pink one in the front yard soon after moving here. I get pleasure from looking at them in the garden or picking a few roses to put in a vase. I am lucky there are no rose-damaging birds here. My current roses don't have a strong scent.
I love roses and do have a few bushes in the garden but they aren't the most user friendly plant, and the thorns are the reason we donlt have more.

There is a public park near work that grows some magnificent bushes. I love wandering over there at lunch time when they are in bloom.
I love roses, especially the heritage roses, and those with a lovely scent. My neighbour has a front yard full of them, and they are a delight to all who pass by. They are a great pleasure to me also ...
My parents' had a huge circular Rose Garden with a path through it. The roses were ok to me; they were jst flowers!

One day I came down the steep side of the house on my two wheeler, but because the grass was wet, my normal left turn didn't happen & I slew into the Rose garden at a very fast rate, ending up in the middle!
How I didn't break my left leg or arm, I'll never know! But suffice to say, I was covered in thorns, cut & scratched by the rock perimeter!
I was soaked in a bath with Dettol, then my mother had to extract EVERY rose thorn! She was not a happy mum!
I love them to pieces and have grown many of the heavily scented ones. I am moving to a place where there is a huge park full of roses. I will be in hog heaven.
