I definitely enjoy Indian food. There are so many good Indian food outlets here in Nth Qld,that I feel spoilt for choice when I decide to splash out and buy dinner instead of cooking! Because I am more than happy to forgo meat ,I can really enjoy a wide variety of vegetarian dishes within the Indian menus!
Unfortunately no. I've gone out to Indian restaurants with friends but the cuisine just doesn't really appeal. I find the food too sauce heavy which disguises the taste of the base ingredients. Whereas I light sauces to complement the food not override the food. I consider myself vegetarian BUT do eat a LOT of fish and where absolutely necessary I'll eat chicken which makes my nonchalance towards Indian food a shame considering the number of vegetarian dishes it caters. If I go out for a meal, I will almost always have fish, but I don't think Indian food contains a lot of fish. I love most food and consider myself I foodie but unfortunately Indian cuisine just isn't up there for me.
Yes, very much. There are tonnes of vegetarian dishes so it makes eating out easy (Thai is also good for that). I like korma, biriyani, and dahl. If we're eating out I always get Peshwari naan (please excuse my spelling if it's wrong) if they have it.
Yes, love Indian food and my friend and her husband are both from India. They cook with pepper for us, not often chilli. I do love the variety of small dishes she makes. Sometimes meat but along with several vegetarian dishes. Very nice!
Yes, but not all dishes.
I enjoy Rogan Josh Mild curry dish, Vindaloo Medium hot, and love to cook the Vegetable dish Mushroom and potato Curry, it is a mild curry with Chat potato's and small button mushrooms or flats cut in half, with crushed tomato's and coconut cream milk simmered in a WOK.
Also Vegetable Samosa's and Nan breads some are stuffed with cheese or other.
If you haven't tried curry dishes start with mild before going to try mild or hot.
Once a month is a nice routine to eat curry.
