Yes, I like gnocchi however find it very filling.
I am about to make some using semolina, and just butter and cheese.
I love semolina, and will make a cooked dish of some sort to go with it.
I think I like the creamy sauce better than the tomato based ones.
for dessert I have some almonds, hazelnut, sultana baked bread pudding with no added sugar, not very sweet and I have to throw it out as i made way too much for one person! see you soon then....i will also give you a doggie bag...
Yes I like it, but I haven't cooked it in a long while. Last time I did, I found them a bit stodgy. I would have only used a bottled sauce with parsley over the top. I would think the home made verity would be much nicer though, then the packet 1 I had bought.
Every now and then, I can enjoy this dish, but as a rule I find it just too heavy for me. A small entree sized serving would more than fill me adequately! I like a nice tomato based sauce which tends to cut through the heaviness.
You need to try a very good one the first time, the supermarkets ones are not! I only eat it at Cafe Krifi now in Victoria gardens richmond, it the best ever, home made daily and choice of sauce, I choose the bolognese and the combo is Yum!
I'm in Melbourne now Brigi, but we're returning to Sydney tomorrow. 1 of our daughters 'down here' lives in Richmond, but we haven't tried the Cafe Krifi. I find gnocchi rather 'stogie, but that may be because I've only eaten the supermarket verity, but I'll look up the cafe menu & see if they have tiramisu!
