Sadly, yes I love cheesecakes however, once again, my answer is that I have a problem with sugar levels and no longer eat cake -rather rarely eat it.
I love baked ricotta cheesecake which my mother taught me how to make the European way! I like these better than the very sweet ones made with cream cheese although I still like all of them.
I honestly don't know! I don't live in Sydney and I've only been to the store once years ago. Usually I beg friends to pick one up for me if they're near the store. This is the store http://ppapa.com.au/
I love cheesecake, so I rarely have it, not even once this year so far. I hate the ones with all the sweet, sticky, gooey crud all over them. I adore the European baked ricotta one too, Finy. Mmmm. Years ago I made a peppermint cheesecake which was made with evaporated milk (not condensed) and a touch of gelatine with a choc biscuit base. OMG . . it was magic. Anyway, I'm not supposed to eat that stuff any more :(
I love cheesecake, but I rarely have them too. One time I tend to get sick of them is Christmas. Almost every party has cheesecake (or trifle), so it all wears a bit thin after a month of parties every weekend !!! I usually only have them at Christmas. I can't recall ever having one from The Cheesecake Shop, but may have had it at someone elses party. I prefer to make my own, as they are so easy to make. My favourite would have to be Toblerone cheesecake, followed by Choc Mint made with peppermint liquer.
Cheesecakes have never been my favourite treat. My sister used to always make the most amazing(according to all who ever sampled them!) Baked Cheesecakes using a European family recipe from our Grandmother.I hated it so much!!!! I sometimes will have a very tiny piece of cheesecake if it has a good amount of berries on the top of it!! But I am far fonder of many other tasty morsels!
