Yes, I know how to play chess. I was in a chess club at my secondary school for a while. I enjoy playing against my dad, and tend to do really well up until about halfway through where I'll make a fatal mistake. After that I keep making mistakes and and it's check mate. Occasionally I win though, and I like to have a bit of a gloat about it.
I partly know how to play chess. Amazingly, I had never had the opportunity to learn it before, and was taught last year by my six year old. I read the book which came with her chess set (she was taught by a friend) and discovered that there are a few more rules we could apply. It is an interesting game and I will be playing more in the future.
My brothers and I were crazy about chess when we were growing us. We were quite good at it too but we rarely play now. I tried teaching my kids with a real chess board but they prefer the iPad version.
I was also in the chess club at school. I still like the odd game of chess but i do not have anyone to my standard to play with so i play a lot of backgammon instead
I wish Amelia was my friend. I would love someone to teach me how to play. I have a magnificent black and green marble chessboard my son made and found some glass pieces at an el cheapo store which really complement it. If only I could put then to good use.
Yes, and I love it. Its my number 1 favorite game of all time. I was the best chest player in my senior year of high school. I once played video games and stuff but to me chess is the most exciting of them all. Its a game that can be played in total silence but on the inside is total jubilation or dread depending on your opponent.
I rarely play it now as I don't have anyone to play it with. I may play it on the computer now and then.
