Christmas is just around the corner; at least that’s what the shopping centres would have us believe – they’ve already started selling Christmas decorations. Anyway, it got me thinking about Christmas lights. Do you prefer to decorate your tree with yellow lights or multi-coloured lights and why?
We don't own a "proper" Christmas tree. We have a couple of tiny table top ones, but we haven't set up for Christmas for a few years as we have been having Christmas away from home. Once we buy a nice big property I'd like to just grow a tree that can be our "Christmas" tree. I'd probably go for multi-coloured lights as I think the kiddies would LOVE that!
We have a string of white lights and another of red for the tree, as we have silver and red decorations. We also have a far less tasteful set of multi-coloured flashing outdoor lights that were a gift from my in-laws.... but at least being outside the neighbours get to "enjoy" them not us :)
I have coloured lights on my Christmas tree, but have several other sources of Christmas lights in my lounge and family room and these are a range of colours. I also have lots of solar lights out in the front courtyard of my house which look fabulous when darkness falls.
Neither. It was just us 2 at home around Christmas. We usually fly to Melbourne & spend it with our youngest daughter, her partner & his family. Our daughter doesn't have lights on her tree, because it's a small 'retro' tree, & it looks beautiful, just as it is.
