No one particularly likes to think of dying, but occasionally, you need to ask yourself, 'what if', and put certain steps into motion so that in the event of the anything happening, you know that your family is taken care of. Regrettably, life insurance is not cheap, and for some the extra expense is just too much. Do you have a life insurance policy in place or other such assurances?
I've never had a life insurance policy. I think it's sometimes been part of my super at various jobs, but I've never organised anything myself. It might be something I consider if I have dependants in the future, but at the moment there's not really any point.
I've got life insurance through my job as does my husband and if this worst were to happen, we feel comfortable this would provide a good sum of money for our children. If we changed employers we'd need to revisit this. I've had private life insurance previously but feel covered through the generous employment policy currently.
No...but I do have accident...so in a car accident or other that takes my life, there is about $48,000 pay out.It also covers me at work, and if I am killed due to some person killing me say just on the street.(Given my age and other things) that was the best deal I could get.
Life insurance is not really viable for me...
