Yes, I have both!
Even though I am thin and they used to say overweight people got these two - it is not true.
Mine is hereditary as both my parents had it, my brother and I both are on medications for both hypertension and high cholesterol, so we didnt stand much chance of NOT getting them both, so I am now led to believe.
Having bred llamas and tried an alpaca, alpacas are definitely NOT laid back! they are nasty kicking, spitting animals! Unlike their gentle cousins, the llama...see http://www.weekendnotes.com/living-with-llamas/
Actually, I have neither. I eat like they did in the 1950's. Only real butter, real cream, eggs, etc... I never eat low fat anything. I love the skin on chicken. Real fruits and veggies. Potatoes with real sour cream. Nothing processed: I think processed food freaks out your body. Processed food is a big marketing scam.
I am not overweight even though I have had to be on steroids for Addison's Disease for over a decade and my doctors can't understand it.
Obesity never was an epidemic until the "low fat" craze in the the late 1970's. Also, when the introduced high fructose corn syrup in the 1980's. Real food!!!!!!!
