I chat with my neighbours and share fruit from our trees with them and in turn they have been nice about one of our chickens getting into their yard. On one side there's a family whose kids play with mine, which I think is lovely. It reminds me of my own experiences growing up in a street where everyone knew and looked out for each other.
I did have a really (so I thought ) nice lady across the road.
Not any more.
I don't talk...she doesn't talk.I caught her out doing bad stuff to others, and told her I knew.
I do talk with the folk next door, they are o.k.
All in all.....I like to keep to myself, since I got badly burnt, with the person across the road.
I am friendly with our neighbours on one side, and the family across the street. Our children have grown up together and socialize regularly. I have had annoying neighbours in the past, like a young mother who was always asking for favours like borrowing our phone or milk and coffee. Now I don't mind helping people out, but borrowing something almost every day? That soon wore thin. I'm very happy with the neighbours we have now.
Just enough chatty that it doesn't bother me. In fact, the kids get along well on one side.
The other side and the front neighbours I have never met.
One of my friends lives in the neighbourhood, which I love because whenever I feel like chatting, I can walk over to her place.
No I don't. They are all pretty private people, talking when they need to. Some of them are rather loud though. Sometimes yelling at their kids or over the phone. sometimes they go outside just to shout at someone on the other end of a phone line.
