I currently have no wallpaper.
The nicest one I ever had was in a bathroom and it was a silver with bubbles on it teamed with black and white fittings in the bathroom and it looked absolutely stunning!
I like unusual wallpapers and used to wholesale big murals with all sorts of things on them.
I like this sort of thing but only like wallpaper if it is different, or unusual.
My house is currently painted. When I bought it ,every room had different paper and it was all hideous, cheap and mismatched with whatever paint had also been used! If wallpaper is going to be used,it should be exquisite in design and quality;and expensive(or at least look expensive!!!!)
We had a project home built in '76. We were never asked if we'd like wallpaper &/or paint, & it was all painted in a 'camel' colour. Back then 1 had a choice of 2 colour paints, a choice of 2 coloured tiles for the bathroom & the ensuite, & a choice of 2 different tap handles only! (Sorry, I was only asked about the paint/wallpaper. I got a bit carried away there!)
When we bought this, four rooms were papered. Three were hideous and the only nice one in a very poor state. Now every room is painted. The biggest problem with wall paper is that it becomes dated very quickly.
