That is a difficult question!
I think oil would be one and salt and pepper would be another.

Difficult to pick just two -I seem to eat a lot of chicken until a few weeks ago when I went back to being almost vegetarian (as is seen in my recipes on recipe yum).

So, oil and pepper would be my two picks!

I used my Tahini in cheese sandwiches instead of butter, & it's nice in salads, instead of the other oils, as it does some some oil in the jar. 1 could probably look up on line, for other uses for it. I just haven't got around to doing that yet, but I did use up my last jar of it, without it going off. It keeps for ages in the fridge. I bet the useably date isn't for about 12 months or more!

Probably olive oil and garlic

Real Butter and Fresh herbs from my garden! I tend to eat fresh fish more than other types of mat,and I adore all vegies,so the butter and herbs are ideal when preparing meals with these staples!
garlic and chilli
garlic chilli and anchovies
I make a lot of salads and steamed veg, and love to use mixed herbs (sprinkle) and some olive oil for taste, after...
Butter/Ghee and eggs.

Hmmmm. I put garlic in every savoury dish I make. Possibly vegetables would be another as I have them every night. Hard to pick just two.
Nominating a handful of ingredients would be far easier! Although if I need to choose only two, one would definitely be salmon.

I always buy a 4-pack of salmon every week and BBQ them on a Sunday afternoon so that I have cold salmon pieces available for my lunches all week. I'll eat the salmon in various salad style configurations, normally throwing in some green beans, pepitas, kalamata olives, baby spinach or butter leaf lettuce.

The second ingredient would need to be tahini. I use a lot of tahini to flavour foods.

How unusual -tahini! I keep buying it and then throwing it out as I sometimes just use a bit in a recipe.
it is an unusual ingredient to use a lot, but a nice one!

I really should be making my own as I use so much of it !
Hahahaha maybe a recipe to consider.
never cook
Yes, they would be onion and carrots.
farley
Maybe olive oil and garlic.
Tomato, & onion, for me!

Even just them, finely diced/sliced, zapped in M/W, makes for a nice dish, plus a hot 'cuppa'.

Probably butter as I do a lot of baking with my grandchildren and salt as I like my food to be tasty. However I don't salt again once its cooked. Exceptions to that would be boiled eggs, fresh tomato and roast potatoes.
Garlic... I seem to like garlic with anything... and olive oil...
I think I have more than two, but the ones that come to mind are garlic and onions. They seem to end up in just about everything I cook!
Rice, (I only use 1/3 cup of dried rice for the 2 of us.) And I guess the other 1 would be water, as I use it to cook the veggies, rice & pasta. But if water doesn't count, I'd say..salt & pepper.

I actually have 3 ingredients I tend to use all the time: onions, mushrooms and hot peppers - stir fry, omelette, pizza, soup, casserole ...
