Oh! jonaj, I'm a stationery tragic, ever since a kid, so don't throw out ANY item unless it doesn't work!
Even then, It's only the ink tube, keep the rest 'just in case' I need a replacement!
One day my daughter saw my collection of 'spares', & said to me, 'really Mum, when are you going to use 200 biro cases!'......hmmmm, she has a point, pardon the pun, but I really need to start going to 'Hoarders' Anonymous' meetings!
Recently a friend gave me a couple of biros with advertising on them as she had spare pens and I like to keep 2 or 3 in my bag so I can write things down. One advertised home help support for older people and the other was raising awareness of Elder Abuse. I also have a pen from my bank and I have had pens from other organisations in the past. Some have a phone number and web site on them.
Yes, from various entities, but also bought ones' eg Daffodil Day, Legacy etc.
Don't get to use them now, as retired. Went through heaps at work, though, for which they were perfect, as they usually 'poor' quality, & some didn't even work!
But I prefer to use personally, my 1980 purchased Gold Parker 75. It lives in my wallet, so always have a biro with me! (& a note book).
At home, use other medium to good quality biro's, as can't abide those which don't work!
