Do you put money aside regularly, perhaps small change, in order to buy something specific?

If so, what do you buy or save for?

I was given a piggy -very cute -ceramic money box once for my birthday.

I have this next to my llama figurines and I put $1, $2 and 50 cent pieces in it quite regularly.

When my grandchildren moved back to perth with their parents I divided this up and they were able to buy an X box or some such.

I still put change in there sometimes but not for a specific reason.

I only ever do this with my Answer Angeles money....to buy something special.

Other from that.....I have to make sure all bills are paid, so not much left after that really.
I have a money bottle but I have not made any plans for it.

I don't have a physical money box but I do ring fence savings in a spreadsheet for various purposes.
I used to have a jar just like the one in your photo, except it said "Drinking Money" on it, and it was for when we were on a choir holiday, so everyone could put some money in it if they wanted to partake of a drink or two to refresh their vocal chords :) I'm not in charge of the choir any more, so the jar has been passed on with all the other gubbins required to organise the holidays!
yes, I use a little plastic piggy bank.
In my car I have an ashtray snd because I don't smoke my spare coins go in there. This is what I buy the paper with.
We have a couple of stubby holders, one for gold coins and one for silver. It's coffee money so it doesn't last long.
I have a total of 4 - one for notes,(often given to me/prizes/items sold) one for gold coins found on the street, etc. Then another small money box for 5 c coins also found in my travels, as each year in about May is a campaign to bank those coins.
Finally the 10/20/50 c coins go in the container in my orchestra bag to pay the weekly supper money. Most of these are also what I've found on the street, in machines, etc. For the last couple of years I haven't had to top this last tin up from my purse!
I've found money on the beach a few times but not much in streets.

I have a lovely wooden bird cage in my bedroom where i put $l coins. Pretty certain the bank thinks i've been playing the pokies (which i dont) when I take them in.
not a money box as such. just empy my purse of small change when I have been shopping to get rid
of it. takes up too much room in my purse. the five cent pieces especially annoying .
I saved 5c coins for ages for a counting activity at school. Now I just add to it out of habit and cos it's not worth cashing it in yet - it's only a few dollars.
Yep, it's stored in the coin section of my wallet!
Use it to give correct money, ie 95c, if I've the coinage, when buying an item.
No, I just take it out of the bank when I need it.
