Nice to know that my mention of Jordan's Extremely Berry Muesli was actually so effective that Finy tried it!! It has to be my favourite of any BOUGHT muesli.Otherwise I prefer to make my own blend ,just as my mum used to always do when I was small!! As for CEREAL,I hate to be very childish and admit this, but I adore Crunchy Nut Cornflakes!!! But I eat these as a treat while watching TV in the evening!! Definitely not a breakfast food for me as I like to always include fruit!
Muesli - it can be high in sugar so really need to read labels to get one that is relatively low in sugar compared to others. I also would never have a full bowel - I put in two spoonfuls then add natural yogurt and a banana
I'm VERY faithful to my 'cereals', as these are what I've eaten all my life!
Love Rice Bubbles with warm milk, & banana for Summer, but NOT daily!
When staying at an Hotel for work interstate, ALWAYS had this for Brekky, with freshly squeezed OJ, Toast, a Hot Breakfast & Hot Chocolate, made on MILK!
Nothing beats 'Uncle Toby's Traditional Oats' for Winter, with Brown Sugar OR Maple Syrup, with a dollop of Thickened Cream!
Since the 'invention' of the 'Crock-Pot', I've an original 'Mini' one, into which I put two heaped large spoonsful, then FRESH Full Cream Milk to about an inch from bowl lip, stir very well & switch on! It only has 'Low' as its' setting, so it cooks overnight!
Next morning, it's ready to enjoy, piping hot, with a 'cuppa'!
Weather's getting cooler, so Porridge it is for me from now on, for a few months'!
No. I am not terribly keen on cereal for breakfast and would far rather have a cooked meal or even just toast than a bowl of cereal but time, energy and health considerations mean I have cereal most days. I try to vary what cereal I have, to make it as interesting as possible....
No, I make my own with diced dried fruits & diced nuts & a tiny bit of coconut. With this I also have 3 Wheat-bix with banana, blueberries & strawberries, if I have some in the fridge. I serve this with fruit juice, & no extra sugar.
I never buy toasted muesli. The Woolworth’s brand was the recommended 1,Uncle Toby’s was the least recommended 1, in a t.v. test/survey I once saw. I forgot to write in my other answer, that I also have it with yogurt I make from a packet, & chia seeds on top! Once a week, I eat puffed wheat, & once a week, in winter, I also make porrage cooked with dried fruit, then topped with yogurt & chia seeds& a sprinkle of brown sugar,
