Yes my dad has diabetes and so did his mom. So we have a genetic predisposition. Just hoping I don't get it.
Yes, my mother's father had type 2 and has since passed away. My father's mother also has type 2 but with the new treatments has been able to manage it for more than a decade now.
Erm, no. Well, my grandfather has it, but he is Mum's stepdad, so no inherited risk.
Of course, we have plenty of stroke history, so everyone has something I guess :)
No history on my side, however my husband side has a long chain of people with diabetes.
No.................we are very lucky.
Yes, sadly my Aunty has type 2 diabetes. Have to watch it.
Yes, my mum and dad have it, and both sets of grandparents an Aunty and a brother. I feel a bit like a ticking time bomb but definitely take steps to lead a healthier lifestyle because of it.
Yes. My great-grandmother had diabetes, but I'm not sure whether it was type 1 or 2.
My Son has had type 1 for 20 years. I have borderline diet managed type 2 diabeties. There is no connection between the 2 apparently.
Type two diabetes but I am doing well and it is not on the horizon for me at this stage.
