Yes, I do - this is one of my phobias!
I will drive down back streets etc, and will often count how many traffic lights to get home while I am driving and then go off the main road to avoid them if this saves one traffic light!

Sometimes, yes. If I am in a hurry, I have been known to take the ' back route' as we call it. Absolutely no lights, brilliant. A lot quicker.
No not at all. Where we live, there is no way we could avoid them.
No. There is really no alternate route where I live. I just try to avoid travelling in peak hour traffic.
Where I live there are no traffic lights, so no, I don't drive out of my way to avoid them. Traffic lights are only a very minor thing in my life, so I've never considered trying to avoid them.
I don't go out of my way to avoid traffic lights

I've never really thought about avoiding lights. . . . but I do like to go the quiet back ways to places.

I have never heard of doing this.

I just drive as I have always done, and if there are lights I could care less.Makes no difference to me.
No. Traffic lights don't bother me.
I,ve never actually thought about it to tell you the truth, there is quite a few on my way to work,so no not really.
I do not drive!!!! So I do not have this problem!!! most people I travel with are very sensible about the routes they take to get get anywhere we need to go so traffic lights are rarely a drama!! It is very easy to avoid traffic lights here in Townsville and most people tend to do so wherever possible!
no, I do not.
was once with a friend who avoided the traffic lights and travelled through all the back streets to get to our destination it took far longer than going the direct route. I made a note to never travel with her again.
No, there are no traffic lights in my town so they're only a problem if I'm travelling to the next town over. Since its a major highway, there is no avoiding the traffic lights then.
I don't drive, but my husband has occasionally gone a different way to avoid 1 set of the 2 sets of lights, about 3 k's from where we live.
