No, nowhere near warm enough for me.

Jeans are for me not so practical -they are too hot in summer and way too cold in winter.

Sometimes if they are not really tight jeans, I wear leggins underneath but that is not so comfortable as I seem to walk like a robot, so no, jeans are not warm enough in winter.

To be honest, no. If I'm wandering around in the house, I'd rather wear my track pants. If going out, I'll wear jeans but I find the denim material "cold".
I find jeans are fine to wear during winter. It's my feet and torso that can't tolerate the cold or wet, so providing I have thick woollen socks and wear lots of top layers, jeans suffice for me during winter.
Well they have to be at the moment!
In the depths of Winter they are not.
Yest I rugged up really well but by 10am I was too warm, the nights and mornings are cold but the days are beautiful at present.

I never wear jeans at all,as I do not find denim of any type at all comfortable.I live in North Qld though,so it is never all that cold, even in Winter. In fact we are still getting to 30 every day this autumn, which is rather bizarre, even for the tropics!
I'm hearing you lol.

1. About everyone wear's them.
2.They are hot in Summer.
3.They are not the most comfortable thing to wear.
4.No individuality, everyone seems to have a pair on.
5.They have been around way way way way toooo long.
6.They take forever to dry.
7.They weigh a ton when wet.
8.They don't look as Good on everyone, as people would think.
9.They can not go in a dryer.
10.They are hard to get certain stains out, because of the denim.
11.They are cold in winter.
12.People look like clones, wearing them.

That's what I think.

Oh! jonaj, you sure have many 'things' against a poor ol' pair of jeans!

Wash them, then throw 'em in the dryer on low heat & take them out about 10 mins b4 cycle ends, that way, they're crease-free AND soft! NO ironing required!

They've stood the 'test of time' for nearly sixty years' now. Millions of wearers' can't be THAT wrong! They're still good to look at, can be very smart with a jacket & scarf, & personally, I find them extremely comfortable! Always wear one of my RM's pairs with them, so feel good all round actually! Cheers!
by donjo
No way, and that is why I will often wear long socks with them.

They are usually warm enough for me - it depends on how cold it is

No, if it's really cold I prefer tracksuit pants or wool tights.
No. The popularity of jeans puzzles me. I find them hot and uncomfortable in warm weather, cold in cold weather and utterly impractical in wet weather. Skirts with tights underneath are much warmer and far more comfy.

I don't wear jeans in the morning. In Winter, at home, wear tracky-daks, Skinnys' 'bootees', Damart long sleeveless vest, thick cotton T-shirt, Sloppy Joe, & if cold enough, beanie & scarf.

What a sight to behold.......NOT! But at least I'm warm! And THAT's what you've GOT to be!

If going out at night, will wear jeans, dependent on venue attending, with my RM's, & warm 'top' clothing, including scarf & beret.
Daytime wearing of jeans is good, with RM's, warm top, scarf & cap or Akubra, to keep neck & head warm.

That's me, all wrapped up!

No. On a recent trip to Alaska I bought some thermal wear. They are very cosy to wear under my jeans.
I am with most of you that jeans are not a warm fabric for the very cold days of winter, pity really as they are fairly versatile pants otherwise....maybe someone can invent the trackie lining for us LOL
I live in jeans pretty much all winter long. I find it enough, unless I'm spending hours outside.
Not really. I always wear heattech inside.
Yes - with puffer jacket and socks and beanie. -6 this a.m. - but sunny!
I invested in NYDJ jeans in cotton, polyester and spandex, in black, won't wear anything else during winter. They're soft, stretchy, skinny, with a high waist and they keep my legs snd lower back warm. Well worth the investment. Leave the denims for the rest of the year.
I find that proper jeans are but I have a couple of pairs that are not 100% cotton and they let the wind whistle through the willows. *brrrrrr*

I don't wear jeans, I wear trackies and leggins.
