recycling bin

The recycling bin in our council collects the recycling bins once every two weeks. In two weeks, our bin is pretty full.

How often are your recycling bins collected and how much are you able to fill them? Does it depend on the time of the year or is it filled to a similar level consistently?

It's usually collected every two weeks and is pretty full by then.
We don't even have a recycling bin in our suburb.

They say they do it when it gets t the depot but I do not quite believe this.

We are supposedly getting them this year but there is no way that I would fill a bin every two weeks, as I have worms and a lot of the scraps go to them and one person just does not make enough to fill a bin.

Ours is every 2 weeks, but only garden waste...
We don't have the normal three bins, as we are in a Village....things seem to be a tad different.
We have been provided a very regular size recycling bin that is collected every week. It never fills up to the brim. I have a lot of boxes and cardboard pieces that need to be recycled but it just won't fit in the bin, so even though I can fill it up, I still can't. I am finding it impossible to get rid of those boxes !
Our recycling is collected once every two weeks and although we don't have much in the paper section, the rest is always full to the brim! I'm super keen on recycling so anything we can't reuse but can recycle gets put in. As a consequence, our household waste bin is never full....
Yes ours is full every two weeks and if I ever have more I will go and ask the neighbors if I can use theirs and as a last resort I will go to my mother in laws who lives about 3 klms away to use hers
Yep, every fortnight! but not to overflowing, or it won't be emptied!
I recycle as much as possible. All helps to bring down costs.
And yet, there are STILL people who don't bother.
Laziness, perhaps?
Yes. We recycle as much as possible and the bin is only collected every fortnight, so by then it is pretty full. After parties and Christmas, we have to push down the contents as much as possible. Our neighbour gives us permission to put some in their bin if ours is overflowing.
Often....especially if I forgot to put the bin out the week before.
I think that in ten years at this house my recycle bin has only been full to the brim twice. It is collected fortnightly and most of the time it is about a third full. Maybe around Christmas it is a little more full.
