Two free climbers have scaled the sheer Dawn Wall of El Capitan in California. It took them nineteen days and they have said that they hope their achievement will inspire other people and show the importance of teamwork and persistence.
Do you feel inspired by the free climbers who have just climbed up El Capitan?
I don't feel inspired one bit! I find this kind of endeavour absolutely pointless and I think it encourages others to try something that is very dangerous, probably without the necessary planning and support, thus endangering lives - those who are free climbing and those who have to rescue them.
I find the actions of those who risk their lives to save others, such as the Médecins Sans Frontières doctors, much more inspiring.
No, they don't inspire me at all. I agree, drs., nurses who are the 'Doctors without Borders' inspire me - we give a monthly donation to them.
Next Thursday night on ABC a series begins 'OUTBACK E.R.). Now, from the previews I've seen,these medical people inspire me as well.They are probably the drs. who save the lives of the climbers who aren't as
