Yes I do -not real often as I like raw fruit, however I did it recently to make the following which was delicious:
Oh Yes!! Definitely! Recently I did some Baked Apples with cinnamon, brown sugar, sultanas, with a dob of butter. But the twist was that I did these in the Microwave and added some chopped fresh sweet strawberries as well! This was such a treat and only took 4 minutes actual cooking time!! I also stew various different fruits which I make as a base for a delicious Crumble dessert,or to fill a pie
Love Pie Apples, with freshly cooked Rhubarb, served with Cream or Custard.
Cooking in the M/W is vey quick & easy. But for a change I sometimes steam the Rhubarb.
Often cook Baked Apples in the Crock-pot.
A good C/P recipe for Winter, is simplicity itself. Soak some dried fruit in preferred Fruit Juice, overnight if you've the time. Put into C/P, add some Port, more fruit juice, cinnamon or nutmeg, cook on Low, all day. Serve with cream, for dessert that night! Such decadence!
Yes I had overnight visitors recently and they wanted cereal for breakfast. The only fruit I had that would have been nice on top was Strawberries -a combination one guest didn't like. It took only a couple of minutes to stew some apples that were past their best, for our cereal in the morning. We all enjoyed it. It was so easy I will do it again if fruit gets a bit less than fresh.
