I sometimes make truffles my melting dark chocolate with margarine to make a ganache, and then dip them in cocoa powder or hot chocolate. I Might make them as a small gift to compliment a main present.
I haven't in years but I used to make them with my Mum and sometimes by myself when I was younger. My favourite was making them with peppermint essence and little Christmas tree shaped chocolates decorated with hundreds and thousands.
Yes I have. I made some for a school bazaar. I put liquor in them and did not understand why all the chocolates were sold out within the hour. LOL. But that was years ago when I was in school and did not know the effects of alcohol on people! ;)
