I don't live by the 5 second rule, if it's been on the floor
it go's in the bin.
Floors no matter how clean, have peoples feet walking all over them.
With shoes, without shoes.
Just gross to eat food that has been on a unhealthy surface.
If I was starving, I would have no option. That is a very different
position to be in, but until then........no I refuse.
I often won't even dropped food off my counters. It's kind of funny, I used to be such a slob, now I'm a borderline germaphobe. I won't eat anything off our floors because we have pets and I know where their feet have been, so no thanks. In terms of counters, I don't like eating off them if they have recently been cleaned because I don't want to eat the leftover cleaner but I also don't want to eat off dirty counters. There is a safe-time for me, it's in between newly cleaned and dirty.
Sometimes. But it depends on which part of the floor it falls. If it falls near the entrance or exit to my house where people walk a lot, I'm not so inclined to eat it. If the food item is dry and it falls near the dining table, I might. That part of the house especially is kept pretty clean.
