It depends on what I'm in the mood for. As a child, I always ate kiwis with the skin off. I didn't even know you could eat them whole. When I met my husband, this changed. Now I tend to eat kiwis with the skins on to minimise waste.
Heck, I eat pumpkin skin so a little kiwi fruit skin doesn't scare me. LOL. In NZ it is routinely eaten "skin on". I tend to halve it and scoop it out with a small spoon but I am happy to eat a well washed one on occasion.
