I have to drink, and also eat.
I can't get the food down otherwise, and have been like that my whole life.
For me eating is a task.
It means chewing...and chewing...and it takes effort. And you have to keep doing it over and over, I would rather go mow the lawn!
I'm not a fan of eating, so yes I need that drink,Big Time, while I eat.
Oh! jonaj, the Aust WWI correspondent, CEW Bean used to chew every mouthful of food 37 times!
All the other Officers' had left the Mess, long before he ever finished a meal!
It was amazing he'd any time to work, actually! Lol!
Eat and drink together. Always. I find it very difficult to eat without a drink to help wash it all down! I find that the right drink can enhance the flavour of the food as well, they should work together to create the dining experience. And then of course after the meal, I need a cup of tea to finish it off. I don't feel done without one!
Sometimes with and sometimes after. I'll generally have a few sips during the meal but drink the most of my drink afterwards. Unless it's a hot curry - in which case I'll drink a million glasses of water before I've even finished the entrée lol!
