Yes!

I put my left leg out of bed, then right....stand up.....maybe for 10 seconds, then sit again.

Then I stand again, and try to walk to the kitchen.

That is as good as it gets, my end.
Me too . . .and if I'm lucky, I don't fall down (^.^)

I do the same Jonah, but I have flat feet, or plantar fasciitis. Once I get moving, the pain lessens and then later in the day the pain worsens.

Yes, I do 40 minutes Pilates every day I am not at work. If I am at work I go to the gym beforehand.
I know that I should. According to my chiropractor, stretching is the best thing for a sore back. My muscles are always very tight when I see him. If big muscle groups are tight, the sheer bulk of the muscle can push the vertebrae out of alignment . My husband does stretching when he remembers. His back is alot worse than mine. He had two years, where all he could do was lie on the floor in terrible pain on heavy pain killers. He would have chiropractor and physio appointments twice a day, every day for two years. He is back to normal now and back at work, but he looks after his back with weekly visits to the chiropractor. You don't just stop going because you feel better
Wow Lluxi! That's the worst story I've heard thus far. I thought my dad's back is bad, but it clearly isn't that bad.

Heck no. I'm not even human for 30 to 60 minutes. Even the dogs steer clear.

I know i should but i dont.
Once feet on ground, & I stand up, I can hear many foot bones 'cracking'!

Stretches done, & dusted!
I get the same Donjo. So what is that.
by fran.
Hi Fran.......think(?) all foot bones 'relax' during sleep, & upon waking, standing, they get back into 'position', so to speak, ready for walking!
But to make sure, I'll ask my Physio. at next appt. & get back to you! Cheers!
by donjo
Thanks Donjo. I am nearly 70 and I have the worst flat feet. When I get out of bed I reckon it takes me a t least 30 seconds for the pain to settle so that I can get to the bathroom and kitchen. But as for the cracking bones…..Don't know what that is. Just have terrible feet.

Get up yawn,stretch , finish.
by Gia
No - but, as I walk between 6-10 km every day, I do stretches on the way.
Not every morning, but if I can motivate myself I like to do yoga in the morning, even if it's just 10 minutes. I would like to work up to doing so every morning because I can feel the difference when I do. The "making time" is where I fail!
No, I don't as morning is my best time, and I walk the dog for exercise
by Finy
Yes as I have recently had a hip replacement.
It also feels great to have a stretch without pain.
Farley
Yes always as I suffer from osteoarthritis.
Plus have had back surgery and then hip joint replacement, all of which leaves me feeling the need to stretch and work my joints and muscles.
