I have a "thing" about not keeping my computer full so I regularly delete all mail, both sent, trash, junk etc from my computer.

Some I delete straight away while there are others I just let go in the deleted box but do not actually delete them in case I need them.

Just deleted 654 emails plus a lot of sent and my deleted file!

I presently have 55 pages of emails in my inbox. Not all of them are unread! But obviously I don't delete them all as I read them. Some get deleted and I have been trying to make sure that I delete or file as I go. But I am definitely a work in progress.
The moment I read an email, I will delete if not important.
I also have folders to keep others that need to be kept for a few months.
I like to have a totally empty email box each day.
I delete as I go except for ones I need to keep, then I either save the attachments (as in photos) then delete. I always empty my deleted and spam folders before shutting down.
I delete anything which I do not need to keep in special folders, which is where I file the ones I do wish to keep.
I check and empty my Junk file4 every day ,as occasionally a proper email will end up in there!
Certain friends' emails are definitely for keeping,so I do have several special folders for these.
Only the unwanted ones.
depends on the subject.
No, some I retain to refer to at alter time
Yes, some of the unwanted mail. But I still keep a lot of mail which I feel I need to refer to.
Unless I need it for future reference.

60 per cent incoming mail
100% junk mail
40 per cent sent mail
I delete emails I HAVEN'T read!
And after reading the ones I choose to, I either file or delete.
I am constantly deleting 50 emails from my promotions tab at a time. So much junk mail goes around everyday.
I heard a statistic that 90% of all emails sent are spam or junk mail!
Unless there is info I want to copy or use I do delete most emails after reading.
I am terrible with this. I want to delete everything in my inbox but I am afraid I will need it at a later date.

I delete the unopened junk mail as soon as I see it. Other mail I keep in my files I have for that person, in case I need it again. I'd never thought of deleting the send mail. I have gone back to the sent file, & retrieved something to forward on again.

Not all the time, especially if it's important.
