In medieval times, they used to discuss how many angels could dance on the head of a pin but it seems that no-one doubted they existed! Do you believe in angels or some other form of higher beings that look after you and guard you from harm?
I don't believe in the supernatural, though I would if there was real proof. However there are probably plenty of bizarre things that seem supernatural but actually have natural explanations even if we don't know what they are yet. Who knows what might still be discovered?
I don't believe in angels as they are described in the Bible but I do think there is some other force out there in the universe that helps and guides us. A universal love or a healing force. I learnt a little but about Hindu philosophy at university and I was struck by their concept of an all-embracing One. Not a god or an angel as such, but something higher than humanity that we are still part of.
"Angels" are higher level thoughts, 'inspirations' if you like. They generate themselves from the highest level of your daily thinking. Practice thinking abstractedly, until a symbol appears, then relate that symbol to your "problem", at which point you have an "Angel" to hand.
Absolutely. They are mentioned in most if not all religions and I find the idea is a great comfort to children. Just one instance: A boy in my class said he saw something come into his room every night and he was terrified. I asked him did the ' being' seem bad and he said No. I explained that many people believe in guardian angels and maybe that's what it was. I also told him he could tell it to go away and if he said Go Away 3 times it HAD to go. He came back the next day saying he wasn't bothered any more. In my humble opinion it doesn't matter whether angels are real or not If they make people feel better what's the harm.
