No, Fran, "they" (meaning the airline, I take it) DON'T get you there too early!
Check-in time is allocated as the MINIMUM time to be there prior a flight. YOU aren't the only person on the flight! There's anywhere between 120-300 people to be processed. It all takes time. And if there're delays, even longer.
Yes, Fran. Sick of people whingeing because 'they'(airline) wouldn't allow them to board because they were running late! People just don't want to take responsibility for their actions, in ANY area, any more!
I find your comments mildly offensive and think others would agree you are overreacting somewhat....not sticking to the particular subject and generalising....I won't be continuing this conversation...no doubt you would like to have the last word!
I thought you were an Air Hostess, retired?
Why would telling facts be offensive?
The only people who use the 'offensive' tag are those to whom the subject is most pertinent.
Bad luck if you don't like what I say; it's the truth. Suck it up!
Sometimes we're on standby, & may have to wait for 4 or 5 hours to get on a flight, if 1 has been cancelled before ours is due to leave. 1 night, in '02 we couldn't get on flight out of London to Bangkok, so we stayed in the airport all night. We were lying on lime green plastic seats. Then the cleaners came around on a noisy machine at 2am. The following morning my husband found a flight going to Singapore, so we took that, as it was leaving earlier than the Bangkok flight. We stayed in Singapore for 3 days, then flew to Bangkok for 10 days. Well my daughter & I stayed for 10 days, but my husband left after 5 days, as he'd had enough of the heat, & had been there before, back in '76.
