I never do, but it's such a big friend and certainly makes for pretty pictures, but the idea of anything on my porridge aside from nuts or nut butter really turns my tummy.
I add banana to my oatmeal sometimes.

No I rarely do it with cereal as I eat muesli mixed with a type of corn flakes and there is fruit in the muesli, and with porridge I will occasionally add a banana instead of sugar if I want to get rid of a banana.

Try fresh strawberries, Finy. I add them to my Weetbix. I used to have banana, but tried strawberries not long ago and haven't looked back.

We add a Banana, and just love the taste.
Good for you, and fills you up.

I'm am not really a lover of the little red things! lol....to me they have no taste....I know :( but love them smashed up, or in a drink or blitzed.

I think that's the problem with strawberries bought from the grocery store - I think that's the problem with most fruit and veg bought from the grocery store, LOL! They really lack the flavour you get from home-grown produce.

I remember 50 yrs ago, in England they were a much different fruit..as far as taste go's!

I always add banana.
Some days I do. Some days I open a tin of "breakfast apricots" which are dried apricots that have been soaked in a syrup and are really yummy. Other days, I use dried berries. it all depends on my mood and what I have in the fridge or cupboard that morning!
Interesting ideas with the apricots. What kind of syrup do you use?
by Vee
lol I don't do the syrup - it's already assembled for me in the tin!
Ahh. I don't think I've ever seen tinned apricots. I'll check it out next time I'm in the supermarket. ;)

Yes - I love a banana with my cereals, as it adds that super banana taste ( I prefer the small Ladyfinger bananas as they are so tasty).

I've always wanted to taste Ladyfinger bananas. Perhaps I'll buy a couple when I go to the shop next. :)

For me, cereal=Rice Bubbles only. To which I'll happily add fresh Cav. banana, or tinned peaches, apricots or pears, in their juice. So that's for Summer eating.

Winter is Uncle Toby's Oats, cooked in milk overnight in mini Crock-pot. Then fresh cream & brown sugar. If feeling need for something sweeter, pour some genuine Maple Syrup over.
Yummy now cooler brekky time's are here!
Not to porridge but I do to cereal. Depending on the cereal I will throw some yoghurt in there as well.
