No I rarely do it with cereal as I eat muesli mixed with a type of corn flakes and there is fruit in the muesli, and with porridge I will occasionally add a banana instead of sugar if I want to get rid of a banana.
I think that's the problem with strawberries bought from the grocery store - I think that's the problem with most fruit and veg bought from the grocery store, LOL! They really lack the flavour you get from home-grown produce.
Some days I do. Some days I open a tin of "breakfast apricots" which are dried apricots that have been soaked in a syrup and are really yummy. Other days, I use dried berries. it all depends on my mood and what I have in the fridge or cupboard that morning!
For me, cereal=Rice Bubbles only. To which I'll happily add fresh Cav. banana, or tinned peaches, apricots or pears, in their juice. So that's for Summer eating.
Winter is Uncle Toby's Oats, cooked in milk overnight in mini Crock-pot. Then fresh cream & brown sugar. If feeling need for something sweeter, pour some genuine Maple Syrup over.
Yummy now cooler brekky time's are here!
