As a teenager, my husband eat the same lunch every day for several years. He would be happy to do something similar now.... my son would be more than happy to have the same meal three times a day every day.
I'm right at the other end of the spectrum - once I've eaten a meal, I don't want it again for some considerable time! I don't even like having rice (or pasta or potatoes..) two days in a row, no matter how different the main part of the meal is with it.
Yes, same meal for say dinner I can. 3 lamb loin chops grilled with nice crisp little tails with a tiny bit of salt on those tails. And 3 veg and a little gravy. Never get sick of it. OR
2 dozen fresh oysters and a little bread and butter. A quarter of one lemon is nice but not necessary.
Variety is the spice of life. I think it is better for our health and immune system to change the nutrients around a bit each day - and to eat in accordance with the food available each season, which is always changing too.
As I live on my own and love cooking, the answer is yes.
I seem unable to make recipes for one -and I also think it is a waste of time, so I cook and usually have the same meal at least 2 times in a row and often 3.
This does not really bother me at all.
I will sometimes freeze some of it and have it on a day that I work in the afternoons, however having the same meal day after day, as long as it is nice, is not a problem for me.
I doubt I'd be able to eat the same meal as in the photo on a daily basis but recently I ate the same meals daily for 2 weeks as part of a diet - 2 x cereals 1 x tortilla wrap, chicken, peppers, salad.
