Does the use of cell phones cause us to be isolated from the people in our immediate environment? Do we really sometimes hide behind our cell phones and gadgets rather than interact with the persons around us.
1.The person who really never did make the effort to contact family, now will with text or calls.
The cell phone gives a safe distance, that it is all they wish to have.
2.The cell phone is used more now, than when they did put the effort in to a visit.
It depends on the person, and their relationship with their cell phone.
I can not believe I just said that last line....but it is true!
People have a bond with their cell phones....Some may love theirs, some indifferent(a means to a end).
Eighter way, it really all comes down to a 'need' to let the cell phone do what they use to do....or in some cases didn't do.
So true. Sometimes when I take public transport I would see people, make eye contact, start a conversation and such. Now most people are on their phone, if a robbery was taking place they wouldn't even know. No scrap that, they would get off the phone and take a picture to post on Facebook.
Today? I think, distance. It seems everyone is on their phones...a million miles away from reality. Went to the park today. Saw a family. Little girl (couldn't even walk). Both parents on their phones...
