As long as the bed is firm and the linen clean, I have no problem. The best bed I have ever slept in was at the Howard Johnson hotel in Anaheim. It was so high I thought I wouldn't be able to even climb onto it, but when I dud, it was like sleeping on a cloud.
I sleep okay in other beds but I don't sleep as long. It may be due to the fact that "other beds" means I am travelling so there is the excitement factor, visiting, late nights and different eating times. We had the biggest bed I have ever seen in Hong Kong and it was as solid as a plank of wood. . . didn't sleep for many hours in that one but at least the pillows were soft.
The only beds I usually sleep in other than my own are those in good quality hotels. The beds are of an excellent quality so I sleep very well. I don't have much trouble sleeping wherever I am. As long as its dark and a comfy bed, I sleep.
I can fall asleep without any problems, but even at home I do not sleep more than 2 or 3 hours in any stretch!! Even when I was in hospital,I slept really well. The bed was one of the new designs which can be set to ANY position the patient desires!!! Even the pillows were lovely!! I am hopefully going to get something similar for home soon!! They DO cost a lot of money, but this would be a very good investment for me.
Yes, if it is a comfortable bed and its clean. The most important is that it is clean. If it's not then I feel like I can't put my head on the pillow or cover my body with the sheets and then I get interrupted sleep or can't get to sleep at all
