The terms "panic attack" and "anxiety attack" tend to be used interchangeably.

Up to recently I thought that a panic attack and an anxiety attack were references to the same condition. Apparently, this is not so.

No I am not sure I can.
I'm not a 100% sure, but I think in a panic attack you start to feel dizzy and faint, while in an anxiety attack you start to hyperventilate and find it hard to breathe. I've had the latter before.
I had had both.

For me a Panic attack is just that.
Thinking something will happen or the like.
Pretty straight forward but unpleasant.

Anxiety is the PITS.
It stays with you all the time, and overwhelming gloom & doom, or
a feeling that everything will stay the same forever.
