Apply tea tree oil or lavender oil to the temples and massage them, lie down in a dark room with your eyes closed and a wet face washer on your head. Drink lots of water most headaches are caused from not drinking enough water.
Steam inhalation relaxes the blood vessels in the head. Head ache can also be due to neck strain, hence directing steam at the neck and behind the ear helps. At all times take necessary precautions while handling steamers. A good self massage with balm on the forehead and neck helps. Head massage with hot oil also can do the trick. But nothing works like a good peaceful nap.
I like to burn pure lavender essential oil in an oil burner, put some on my temples and lie down for a while. I also drink plenty of water (as headaches can sometimes be caused by dehydration, especially in hot weather) and sometimes have some camomile tea, as this is very relaxing. Doing a bit of gentle yoga, tai chi or reiki is also good, as these stimulate the bodies energy system.
