Loss of weight is a resolution for millions of men and women around the world. Exercise and balanced diet are good ways to maintain weight, but in order to drop a few kilos, a much stricter diet is required.
Have you ever tried a diet to lose weight fast? How effective was it (short and long term)? What did the diet require?
There is no safe way to lose weight fast and keep it off. There is always a new, miracle diet that makes promises it can't keep. Permanent weight loss comes from a healthy diet and lifestyle. Simple. No diets, no tricks or gimmicks. The problem is people aren't willing to make those changes, or they don't know where to start, or what exactly constitutes a healthy diet and lifestyle. One step and one day at a time is a great place to start.
Clare has the right idea, there is no quick and easy answer. The only way to lose weight is to have a long term plan. The best diet I have found to help stay on track with this kind of life change is Weight Watchers, they are an oldie but a goodie. I've lost and kept off 20 pounds using the Weight Watchers method. I had originally lost almost 30 pounds, but I gained ten back once I got off the diet. I believe there is always some weight regain after stopping any diet, so I wasn't too concerned. I still count the 20 pound loss as a success. I hope this helps!
