I have already made major changes to the house I bought when I moved from a regional area to the city.
So I am very content with what I have now -i normally do renovations to houses that I buy as I am very fussy, particularly with the kitchen and that is always something I get re built in all houses -and the en suite...
We HAVE to make changes, and in the next 12 months.Plus having a whole new bathroom, due to my accident 15 months ago...Looking at extending a tad like 3-4 meters on the front of the house, and enclosing.
We are currently making changes to our house. A few years ago we had a loft conversion, and at the moment we are redoing our conservatory and adding a wet room. I love my house and would never want to live somewhere else, but I do wish it was twice the size. As we always have stuff piled high everywhere. What I would really like is a huge kitchen; we have a galley kitchen which is tiny and narrow. I actually have to keep my baking ingredients and equipment in different rooms of the Ouse because there is no space for it in the kitchen. I would also love a huge garden so We could have a huge rabbit hutch and run and keep lots of rabbits.
I really LOVE my little home,as it is just that....my HOME!!!Many renovations have already been done, though more are in the pipeline..... When it happens, though, will be fine with me,as I am more than comfy with everything. One of the best things I did was get Solar panels last October. The savings on my Electricity bills are quite phenomenal, and much better than I ever truly believed they would be!
Another really useful thing we did was put a much shallower-gradient set of steps to the little verandah where the front door is.I may take a bit more room to go from top o bottom, but it is SO easy for me to walk up and down, with my dreadful arthritis throughout my body! Even visitors comment on how nice it is to use!!
I was going to answer in the negative, then I realised I do love my house . . .I just wish it was elsewhere. (and on 40+ acres). If I could put it on my back like a snail and drag it a few hours NORTH . . . I would be much happier.
I am very content with my home, its location and everything about it. The inside has been updated. We have replaced the kitchen and bathroom, put in a pantry and new linen cupboards and repainted. Now we need to start outside and do up the garden. We painted outside, around the windows, put up a new front fence and a new side gate, so everything is pretty new. No more changes now. We are content with our home. We are in the same home we bought when we married.
I am very content with my home as it is. When I bought it three years ago the kitchen and bathroom had been upgraded. It is small and I have had to part with a few pieces of furniture to make it feel more spacious. Just a couple of weeks ago I parted with a couple of items and am very pleased with the extra space I now have. The garden is a practical size for me to potter in. I am happy with my home and its location is excellent.
I'm content with mine. The only change I should have made back 35 years ago when we added the back rooms would have been to extend the roof line so we could access the guttering running across the back of the house to make regular cleaning possible which we can't do now.
I am very happy living in the house and would change nothing
The front windows look over a park like garden which includes a Red Dragon tree
The kitchen has recently been refurbished
The rear yard changes constantly with the seasons
Yes, am very content in my home. The only changes I made recently were to re-decorate and style my bedroom and lounge in the art deco style I love. My late husband, although an amazing, loving person, was very traditional in his styling ideas so we tended to compromise (or I did) on styling for the rooms in the house. I'm now playing around with some outrageous decor.
Yes, I am still fit to manage my large house, but at some stage will have to downsize. The kids rooms are still in tact with their stuff as they use them when they come. I try to get rid of excess furniture etc as I prefer living light but over the years I have accumulated a lot.
YES! We'd love to renovate! The kitchen to go from light brown fake looking timber cupboards & yellow bench tops, to all black/white with a red flashback, & all red appliances! I'd like the kitchen floor to be large 'tiles' in black/white checks! The bathrooms need updating, all the taps need changing, & our leather lounge needs recovering in new leather, but none of this can happen, until we finish throwing out our unwanted stuff in the house!
