You know the summer school holidays are coming to an end when all department stores have back to school supplies on specials.
Is this an exciting time in your household? Perhaps there are children who will be going to school for the first time ever, so it may also be a bit nerve-wrecking. What preparations are you making to ease the children back into school routine?
I am excited because it's a new beginning for the children and they are excited about seeing their friends and learning (although we managed to do some learning at home during school holidays). They are also excited about their new uniforms and school bags, etc. I am not looking forward to the hectic morning routines, but nothing major to complain about.
Like Ivana, I liked having the kids at home too and we did manage to accomplish a lot during the summer holidays.
Yes. My son is going to school for the first time and he's super-excited about it. We've been on several shopping excursions in the last few weeks in the lead up and he can't wait to make new friends and be a schoolboy.
I think they are more excited. It is a long time to spend at home...and school offers diversity. However, I like having them around...and it is nice to have them hop in the car for a quick swim by the beach.
School is exhausting and a lot of unpleasant work for me (and them). We'd much rather the holidays when all the schedules are out the window, and we can do whatever we want - we also do a lot of fun things, that there isn't time for on the weekends...
