I recently bought new Topshop slip on shoes. I love them, but are you a fan of the new slip on shoe trend?

Ah! your talking about ''Vans''.

They were made in California in the 1960's by a young man..who with his brother started the trend.Mainly for skate board riders.
I have enclosed a pic of Sean Penn wearing some in 1970. Now you don't have to buy the real deal, other shoe people have done their own.
I love them!
I think it's my 10th year of wearing, and my feet love them too.
Sadly, I'm not talking about Vans, but the new slip-on footwear trend, which is copying the Vans style, but glamourising it, like my pair from Topshop (above). The High Street as well as designers have taken on this trend and made it a lot more sparkling than the standard skater-shoe.
Yep same same.
Only these are more lighter, and different designs.

I love them! They make them in kid sizes too, which is a wonder as it gets around having to constantly tie the laces of people who's little fingers can't quite manage it yet.
Well pointed out! They're great aren't they?!
I think they are okay, but I wouldn't wear them to work! LOL However, I used to wear them a lot in the 80's when they were also popular. Looks like fashion repeats itself.
Exactly! they have been around, but now they are just making them more
Plus a tad lighter.

Unfortunately I am old enough that this is the second time around for me with this trend! Liked them the first time and I am liking them this time around.
Meee too.
Only this time they have made them a tad Glam! winning...Oh yeah! :)

They are practical, especially for children. But I don't particularly like the look of them.

I know, but they are so darn comfy!

That is hard to argue with.

Trend? I'm not 'up with it' obviously!
But many of my 'work' shoes were 'slip-on', & very comfy!
YES, in in my late 60's, & a year or so ago, bought my 1st pair of Sketchers! 1 of the Hawaiian islands we visited on our last cruise, had a DFO Sketchers
shop, & 3/4's of the people from the ship bought them. We bought 5 hrs, & I now have 6 or 7 pars.
They are so comfortable. I like wearing mine with little socketsThese seem to stop the shoes from smelling.
